#TBT [ThrowBackThursday] week 36 of 2015. This week, something I remember from my visit to Czech, 1 of the 52 countries I visited prior to 2015.
It has been over 18 years ago when I first visited Prague, Czech, during a high school trip. I have visited the capital of Czech more than 20 times after and actually writing this #TBT from Prague! My view of Prague which has some great views itself from the castle and Charles Bridge I will share with you.
Prague is my favorite eastern European city!
My first visit to Prague in 1998 was also my first experience with Eastern Europe. We went in a bus with about 40 others from high school and some teachers. We were all around 16-17 years old and very excited to go on this school trip. Wow what a fun we had as everything was cheap. During the day we did for us some “boring” things but after dinner we went out and with the prices of beer and liquor this was a big party till midnight when the last metro went back to our hotel in one of the Prague suburbs. These days we were allowed to drink at the age of 16; any current school trip probably will look totally different. I won’t go into details, but we cooled beer in the baththub during the night 🙂 My first experience with Eastern Europe was a big success and I have been back many times since then.
Since the school trip, which is the case for many I guess, I started to appreciate much more history, culture which I also share with you on this travel site. Once again, a great city and hope to be back more often. Greetings from Prague.
