#TBT [ThrowBackThursday] week 46 of 2015. This week, something I remember from my visit to Belgium, 1 of the 52 countries I visited prior to 2015.
We from the Netherlands always make a lot of jokes about the people from Belgium. They are actually very nice 🙂 I have been to Belgium dozens of times which mostly was because I was driving to France. One thing I do not like about Belgium are the roads; they are really terrible. Most of my time in Belgium however I have spent on them driving. Did you know that during Easter and Christmas holidays I used to drive all the way to Belgium to buy food and beverages as they are better there?
Belgium has bad roads but good beer!
It was probably 1999 or 2000 that I visited Bruges, a very nice town in the west of Belgium. A year or two later a long weekend during my university years to Antwerp to visit I think it was BASF, not sure though. It was then years later for my next city trip to Brussels with the family. As the capital of Europe, but also for other reasons, it makes a great city trip destination. What I remember the most? The Belgium beers! Oh, do I like those especially the triples.
I soon hope to explore more of Belgium. A few plans are in place already and hope to execute them soon. So, see you soon in Belgium!
