Jordan is a country in the Middle East and for the most part landlocked by Israel, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. In the south it borders the Red Sea but this is just a stretch of about 30 kilometers. It’s a very open and safe country in the Middle East. It offers white beaches at the Red Sea, floating in the Dead Sea, old Roman ruins in the north and centuries of history throughout the country. It’s worldwide known for the ancient Petra ruins. The country is a perfect spot for a road trip (read my 2 week Jordan road trip itinerary). A place with a wide variety in nature, culture and gastronomy which I’m sure you will enjoy like I did during my 2 week stay.
