Yemen is a country on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula of the Middle East. It borders Saudi Arabia in the north and Oman in the east. Yemen is a completely different country as the others on the peninsula and now difficult to travel around. The people are very hospitable, the sights amazingly unique and the Yemini food is delicious. In this Yemen Travel Guide you’ll see that it’s possible and is explained how to visit Yemen.
Yemen has developed in a unique was as it has been on the crossroads of many cultures dating back to the 12th century BC. Most of the country has a desert climate but at altitude it can get cold at night. The many Wadi’s (valleys) can be pleasantly green especially in central plateau. Yemen has 6 regions, the coastal plans, the mountains in the west, the highlands in the east, the empty quarter in the north and the Red Sea Islands and Socotra. This Yemen Travel Guide will cover all these places over time.
