Laos is a landlocked mountainous country in South East Asia. It’s one of the poorest countries in the area. Most tourists go to neighboring countries but Laos is seeing more visitors every year. It’s a poor country, but not a cheap country compared to the neighbors, prices are about 25-35% higher. Except maybe in Vientiane, the capital, it’s a laid-back country. Laos can be visited year round but there are three seasons. The people are friendly and the nature and culture is unique. Forest, waterfalls, temples and remote villages make it a very diverse country.
