I have been to Singapore several times but never had the chance to explore its craft beer scene. This year, finally, I had the time to do this. I’ll take you to several places where you can have the finest craft beer of Singapore. Each, except one, serves their own brews. Cheers!
Craft beer Singapore: Level 33
What I love about Level 33 is the view! The bar, restaurant AND brewery are located on the 33th floor overlooking the Marina Bay in Singapore. The view doesn’t match the view from 1 Altitude or Marina Bay Sands. They serve 6 beers from tap of which the porter is a mix of two. One craft beer is a seasonal which rotates throughout the year. It was already late evening so I ordered a flight of the 5 beers (no porter). The craft beers are OK but not special but the view made me enjoy them! A place I would like to return next time in Singapore so I can try their food too.
Craft beer Singapore: Mikkeller Bar
Mikkeller Bar is original a Danish brewery which opened a bar in Singapore. They have twenty taps of which most are Mikkeller brews and three of them are exclusive craft beers for their bar. The bar is located not far from Bugis Junction Singapore where I always like to eat in Singpoare. It’s a nice bar located on the second floor of some original Singapore shophouses. I tried twelve of the taps as the other locals I had before. The beers are delicious and fresh.
Note: The outside photo below is from their previous location.
Craft beer Singapore: Brewerkz
Brewerkz brewery is located in the Clarke Quay area which is THE area to party all night in Singapore. They have 12 of their craft beer brews on tap; some seasonal some are core brews always available. Tasters are served with four beers at a time and are the best way to taste them all. Do note that during the day the prices of pints are almost half of late evening. A taster of 4 of the same beers (also a pint) is then actually cheaper as a pint; isn’t that strange. I loved their double IPA which is hoppy and dry. Great craft beer and great area to hang out in Singapore.
Craft beer Singapore: Good Luck Beerhouse
Good Luck Beerhouse is located around Arab Street which is another area in Singapore to hang out late. It’s a very small cozy place and serves 8 craft beers from tap which when I arrived where all local Singapore brews. Unfortunately, one IPA ran out before I could order it and was replaced by a quite common international brew. I want to taste local when I travel. They don’t have their own brews but it’s a great spot to sample some of the local Singapore craft beers. Their tasters come with three beers so with 8 beers on tap that leaves one extra. Either take the best one again or maybe they changed one in the meantime. Good Luck Beerhous is a recommended place in Singapore to drink craft beer.
