#TBT [ThrowBackThursday] week 13 of 2015. This week, something I remember from my visit to Kuwait, 1 of the 52 countries I visited prior to 2015.
To be honest there is not that much to remember from Kuwait, not even a traffic fine like all other Middle East countries 🙂 I visited the country with the family for two days as a stopover to get to Oman. That we had this option for a stopover came in handy to get the passport stamp from Kuwait, see around a bit and tick this country off the list. Of course, I planned this stopover, the family doesn’t know. Probably a lot of people might think I’m crazy to basically lose 4 days with traveling to get this ticked off. That’s me! It was the first time, but for sure not the last time.
In the end we did do some interesting things there, I guess. We drove a bit through the country to see the oil industry, the Iraqi border, the museum and Kuwait towers are nice too. There are beaches but I was there in December so too cold to go swimming. We could not visit Falaika Island with some minor Greek ruins either as there was no boat going. Anyhow, thank you US Troops for freeing Kuwait and letting us have dinner at a Burger King!
