#TBT [ThrowBackThursday] week 1 of 2015, Morocco, the only African country I visited prior to 2015 (read here). I visited the country back in early 2010 with the family, two kids of 4 and 6 including. It was their first time in a plane and I’m happy they still like to fly! What a nightmare is Ryanair – last time ever we flew that airline. Now, 5 years later, they have flown so much that they already got silver status in Flying Blue themselves, earning miles for their own free flights.
Marrakech is a great city to go with kids. We choose an hotel just outside the center with huge pools, golf area and other activities for the kids. The kids just loved it. The most memorable memory of this trip are actually two, one adorable, and one “I told you so”.
My son was running in a dark tunnel under an old fort and we warned him not to do that as he would fall. Just after we said this he turned a corner and we hear a big bang and lots of crying. We still remind him till today when he is running around.
The other was during the mountain hike. Here my daughter of then 4 years old got tired but we wanted to make the difficult hike with a bit of climbing. The princess smiled at our guide with her big blue eyes and the next moment she was on his back. He carried her for an hour the full way back to the entrance.
A family trip we will never forget!
